Materials and care

Made from one piece of solid beech. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, dry it fully, and keep it out of standing water so the wood doesn't warp. A light coat of mineral oil a few times a year keeps the finish looking good.

Wood has very little give, so it hits harder than leather or silicone at the same speed, and the air holes add to the sting. Start light, build up slowly, and stay on padded areas. This one rewards communication, not showing off.
